installation,
hardware, and gameplay compatibility.

Note: If you are having trouble reading the end of the lines while using the

01. Installation

It is recommended that you close all other applications before you install
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR(r)
08. It is also recommended that you shut down any virus scanning programs prior
to installing
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR(r) 08. Don't forget to re-enable your virus scanning
program after you've
finished installing Tiger Woods PGA TOUR(r) 08. Be sure that you have enough
space on your
computer's hard drive to install the game to before you begin.

To properly cancel the installation, please choose Cancel and follow the
On-screen directions.

If DirectX 9.0c needs to be installed, please wait for the installation
prompt and follow its directions before selecting an installation option from
the install screen.

If you find the gamepad controller swing response to be too sensitive for your
liking, please refer to
your Logitech Profiler software or software documentation for information on
how to reduce the analog

- 1600x1200 video screen resolution is only available on video cards with 256
MB of video RAM. Some video cards will experience graphical corruption while
running in 1600x1200 resolution. If you experience any graphic anomalies while

c. SLI/Crossfire Configurations

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR(r) 08 does not support SLI or Crossfire video card
configurations. We recommend disabling your SLI or Crossfire configuration if
you experience any difficulties running Tiger Woods PGA TOUR(r) 08 while
utilizing an SLI or Crossfire configuration.

06. Driver Information and Known Issues (Related to Drivers)
--------------------------------------------------------------

It is recommended that you have the latest video driver versions on your PC for
optimal performance.

- If you own NVIDIA brand (GeForce) or ATI brand video cards, please visit
www.nvidia.com
or www.ati.com respectively to download the latest drivers for your video
card.
- Due to the proprietary nature of laptop chipsets and drivers, the
availability and functionality of 3D
hardware accelerated rendering will vary. If you experience issues running in
3D accelerated mode,
check with your laptop manufacturer for an updated driver.

07. Frequently Asked Questions
--------------------------------

a. How do I start to play the game? (Graphics Hardware Test)
- On your initial launch of the game, the Graphics Hardware Test will be run to
best optimize the
game's settings for performance. It is highly recommended that you leave your
video settings set to
Automatic Settings for optimal game performance. While you have the ability to
manually configure
the video settings, increasing the graphics quality setting past the automatic
defaults will have an
adverse effect on game performance. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR(r) 08 also dynamically
changes
game settings to optimize performance. If you turn Automatic Settings off, the
game will not do
dynamic adjustments during game to keep your frame rate steady.

b. My virus checker says this game has a virus, do I?
- It is recommended that you shut down any virus scanning programs prior to
installing Tiger Woods
PGA TOUR(r) 08.
- If you do not have up to date virus definitions, there is a possibility that
you will receive a False
Alert from your virus detection software.

c. How do I set up my teams in the team games?
- The order in which you add golfers to the game will determine the teams.
- For example if the game type is Four Ball Match (a four player team game) the
first two selected
golfers will be team 1 and the last two golfers will be team 2.

d. Is there a difference in using an optical mouse rather than a regular ball
mouse?
- Not really. If you are using an optical mouse, it is recommended to use a 2nd
generation optical
mouse or newer. First generation optical mice may exhibit anomalous behavior on
very fast mouse
swings.

e. Is there a limit to the number of Game Face profiles I create?
- Yes, some performance issues can occur if you create over 50 unique Game Face
profiles. It is
recommended that you delete some older profiles if you start to reach this
threshold.

08. Known Issues
-------------------

a. Game Issues
- If you own a GeForce video card and are experiencing discolorations and
flashing issues in the
water reflection, download and install the latest video drivers for your video
card. Upgrading your
drivers will also provide you with a significant performance increase.
- Be careful when using anti-aliasing effects for your specific video card.
Some video cards will
encounter serious performance issues with these settings turned on.
- In the skills events (Putting Contest, Chipping Contest), if you hole out you
aren't allowed to take
your next 2 shots. If any one of your opponents hole out, you will get a tie
and will both get the
victory.
- Changing to 32-bit color will remove banding in the skies at a cost of mild
performance.
- Don't swing too fast when using TrueSwing(tm), some mice can't handle it.
- Certain older sound cards and embedded audio systems may experience skipping
or looping
audio. This problem may be fixed by turning down hardware acceleration from
the Control Panel.
-Running multiple programs on your computer while playing the game, may cause
longer load times. Please close
all non-essential programs prior to running the game for maximum performance.
-Using the Alt+Tab function anywhere in the game, may cause the game to not
function properly.
-When using the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra SLI 512 PCI Express card with
ForceWare 91.31 drivers, you may
experience a refresh issue when exiting the game back to the desktop. Try
switching drivers to solve this issue.
-The EALU for DirectX can appear blank on some PC configurations. IF this
problem occurs, please try entering
a command prompt and type in " autorun.exe DXInstalled " to bypass DirectX
installation.
-You may experience some performance issues when using nForce Chipsets with
Asus and MSI motherboards.

b. Install Error (IKernel.exe - Application Error)
- If you receive the following error message after successfully installing
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR(r)
08 please follow the steps below to correct any future error messages for
subsequent installs:

IKernel.exe - Application Error
"The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be launched. The RPC server
is unavailable."
Click on OK to clear the error message

Next you'll need to make sure that the DCOM Server Process Launcher is enabled
on your machine and
reinstall the game.

Please refer to your Windows documentation for information on how to enable
your DCOM Server Process
Launcher service.

c. Microsoft Common Controller
- Avoid pressing the "X-Box Guide" button while running Tiger Woods PGA TOUR
08(r).Pressing the X-Box Guide button during gameplay will close the game and
bring up the common controller help page. Please note that Microsoft
discourages users from pressing this button while running a game in full screen
mode during driver installation for the common controller.

a. The correct version of Internet Explorer is not installed
- Go to www.microsoft.com and click on "downloads" on the left hand side of the
webpage
- Next click on "Internet" under the Download Categories
- Select Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 and download this executable
- Install IE 6 on your computer

Note that if you have a firewall and want to play online, the following TCP/IP
