Ahora podréis jugar a Titanfall 2 o a Battlefield 5 entre otros a 120 FPS. Otros muchos alcanzan los 60 FPS.
El pasado mes de febrero, Xbox anunció FPS Boost, una tecnología revolucionaria para Xbox Series X|S con la que diversos títulos retrocompatibles mejoran sus prestaciones, llegando a duplicar la tasa de framerate, sin que los desarrolladores tengan que hacer un trabajo extra para implementar estas funciones. Inicialmente se anunciaron solamente 5 juegos compatibles y, con las semanas, la lista ha ido creciendo poco a poco. Pero es ahora cuando Microsoft ha dado un golpe encima de la mesa.
A través del blog de Major Nelson, Microsoft ha confirmado la incorporación de 74 juegos compatibles con FPS Boost, mejorando considerablemente su rendimiento tanto en Xbox Series X como en Series S. Así, títulos como Alien Isolation, Dishonored o Assassin's Creed Unity son capaz de alcanzar los 60 frames por segundo, mientras que otros como Battlefield V, Metro 2033 Redux o Titanfall 2 alcanzan los 120 FPS.
Desde Microsoft ya advirtieron cuando anunciaron FPS Boost que sería solo el servicio y que anunciarían pronto nuevos juegos compatibles con esta funcionalidad, y así ha sido. Es compatible desde la actualización de primavera del Dashboard de Xbox Series X|S, y es de suponer que pronto vayan llegando todavía más y más títulos que se beneficien de esta función que nos da una excusa para revisitar ciertos juegos y comprobar cómo lucen con un framerate mucho más elevado.
Además de los mencionados en el listado, también se aprovechan de FPS Boost varios juegos de Bethesda como Fallout 4, Skyrim o Prey, tras la compra de la editora por parte de Microsoft, en uno de los movimientos económicos del sector más importante de los últimos años.
