La nueva aventura de Kratos e hijo se impone al épico viaje por el Salvaje Oeste de Rockstar Games.
La lucha de titanes durante la ceremonia de entrega de los The Game Awards 2018 ha concluido con la coronación de God of War como mejor videojuego del año. El lanzamiento de Sony Santa Monica ha logrado imponerse a Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, Celeste, Spider-Man, Monster Hunter: World y Red Dead Redemption 2.

La aventura protagonizada por Kratos en compañía de Atreus sirvió a Cory Barlog para hacerse también con la estatuilla de mejor dirección de juego, así como la de mejor título de acción y aventura. Por su parte Rockstar Games logró con RDR2 tener la producción más distinguida de la noche con hasta cuatro galardones: mejor narrativa, mejor banda sonora, mejor diseño de sonido y mejor interpretación. Celeste, también nominado al GOTY, fue seleccionado como mejor lanzamiento independiente del 2018, sumando además el premio Games for Impact. Para terminar, uno de los grandes fenómenos de los últimos años, Fortnite, se fue a casa con el honor de ser el mejor videojuego en constante evolución así como lanzamiento multijugador más destacado.
