1. Introduction

Three thousand years in the far distant future after what was believed to be
the arrival of “the savior”, mankind has carved a bloody path across the known
Universe.

Considering themselves a divine race and beyond reproach as a species, they
view all alien races as inferior. Those that do not bend and acknowledge the
infinite superiority of the human genome are subsequently punished or simply
destroyed.

This dominion over almost all sentient life forms was only attainable through
the creation and exploitation of the ‘organids’ – genetically designed organic
technology, easily adaptable to any enemy strategy through the introduction of
seeds into the blank genetic makeup of these living machines.

The fate of Humankind rests on the path you choose; take command and lead your
fleet to a glorious destiny and ensure the survival of the species!

Please ensure that your system meets the hardware requirements.

Recommended:

Operating System: 2000/Windows XP/XP 64bit/Vista
Processor: Intel P4 or AMD Athlon 2.5 GHz
Memory: 1GB
Hard Disk Space: 2.5 GB
CD or DVD-ROM Drive
Video: NVIDIA GeForceFX 6600 256 MB (or higher) or ATI Radeon X1600 256MB (or
higher)
DirectX version: 9 or higher
Sound: DirectX Direct X compatible sound card with 5.1 speaker output
Input: Keyboard & mouse

3. Installation
====================================================================
It is strongly recommended that you close all non-essential programs
before beginning the installation of any software on your computer.
This includes screen savers and anti-virus software, which may
interfere with the installation process.

1. Insert the Genesis Rising CD 1 into your CD-ROM drive.

2. If the auto-run mode on your computer is active, the installation
will start automatically when you insert the CD into the drive.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

If the auto-run mode on your computer is disabled, input the following:

a) At the Windows desktop, click on ‘Start.’
b) Select ‘Run’ and type the letter of your CD-ROM drive and
GenesisRising_Setup.exe
(i.e.: D:GenesisRising_Setup.exe)

OR

a) Double-click on ‘My Computer.’
b) Right-click on the CD-ROM drive with the Genesis Rising
CD and select ‘Open’ to access the contents of the CD.
c) Double-click on the ‘GenesisRising_Setup.exe’ file to launch the
installation.

3. Read and click-to-accept the ‘End User License Agreement,’ then
follow the on-screen instructions.

4. The installation will automatically create a program icon group
and a quick start on your Windows® ‘Start’ menu.


From the Main Menu you can adjust various settings like video, sound, by
selecting the "Options" menu.

4. Uninstalling Genesis Rising
====================================================================
To uninstall Genesis Rising:
Browse to the Genesis Rising folder on your Start Menu, then select
"Uninstall Genesis Rising."

Alternatively, you can open your Control Panel, choose "Add/Remove Programs,"
select Genesis Rising then click "Remove."
